22 ways to make $2,000 in 30 days, checked against what people already ask for on Reddit, what they search for, and who is verifiably getting paid. This issue adds the ones that need no audience.
The verdict · updated for “no audience”
Of everything researched, it's the only idea where buyers publicly ask for exactly what she does, every day, and say followers don't matter. Paid briefs on Reddit and X list $200–500 per video. A beginner documented $1,000 in week one from 65 pitches; another made about $2,500 in 30 days. Her hook and format system is the edge over the hundreds of creators replying with just a face.
It's also month one of her favorite idea. Being the first creator teaches her what brands buy and builds the brand list the creative marketplace needs. Then she can run it by hand as a concierge studio.
Brutal caveat: competition is huge (paid briefs draw 100–450 replies), first offers are often $30–50 per video, contracts grab usage rights, and it requires being on camera (or hands-only). $2k means ~9 videos at $225 or two app retainers. If she won't be on camera, local content days need no camera time from her but do need face-to-face selling; listing-image design needs neither.

Round 1 ideas were re-scored with the new “sells without an audience” test, so everything sits on one board. A killed idea can outscore a pick: it was killed for one deal-breaker (no buyer pull, backlash, too slow), explained in the kill list. Hover a bar for its breakdown.

Fashion & beauty brands pay per video
Lynn films short, native-looking videos for fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands (try-ons, GRWM, “I tested this”), and unlike most applicants she brings the hook, the format and the shot list. No followers needed: brands pay for the video, not her reach.
Indie fashion, beauty and haircare brands, plus apps running creator programs. They post paid briefs every day on r/UGC_forhire, r/BrandsCreators and X, and on platforms like Bento, Backstage and SideShift (named by creators in the evidence).
Brand deals: $200–250 per video, sold as a 3-video pack ($600). App creator programs: $30–50/video base or $700–1,000/month retainers for daily posting.
Rates in this research: $240 for a first video (expanded to $1,000 for 4), $200 per script, $250 for a photo + video, $200–500 per video, $800 per concept for an experienced creator.

Film 3 spec videos with products she already owns: one fashion try-on, one beauty “I tested this”, one product-as-hero with no face. Each opens with a hook from her system. This is the portfolio.
Make a one-page portfolio (Canva site or Notion): the 3 videos, “I bring the concept, not just the face”, starting rate $225/video, $600 for 3.
Create profiles on Bento and Backstage (named by creators who booked first deals). Turn on UGC brief alerts on X.
Pitch volume: 15 replies/applications a day on r/UGC_forhire, r/BrandsCreators and X briefs. Each reply includes one tailored hook idea for that brand. That's the differentiator.
Cold-pitch 10 indie fashion/beauty brands on TikTok or IG with a 15-second spec video made for their product (the precedent: “I filmed a few fake ads for random stuff I already had”).
Post once in r/UGCcreators' weekly self-promo thread and once on r/forhire ([For Hire], the 7-day rule).
Count: 65+ pitches by day 7 is the benchmark from the evidence. First paid deal → raise to $250/video and ask for a retainer.

Walk in, shoot, deliver 6 reels
Lynn walks into salons, boutiques, cafés and studios near her, sells a half-day “content day”, shoots on her phone using her formats, and delivers 6 edited reels plus captions. No followers needed: the audience is whoever owns the shop.
Local businesses that know they should post reels but don't (one salon even pushes its stylists to post). Hairdressers, nail and lash studios, boutiques, cafés, gyms.
$400 per content day (6 reels). Optional $700/month for two days a month.

Amazon & Etsy sellers can't find good designers
Etsy and Amazon sellers send their product photos; Lynn sends back a styled 7-image listing set (hero, lifestyle composite, benefit infographic, size/scale, comparison, detail, story) designed in Canva with AI-assisted backgrounds, not AI models.
New Amazon private-label sellers and Etsy shops with plain photos. They post “where do I find competent listing designers?” and complain Fiverr results look like templates.
$150 per 7-image set (first 5 at $99). $299 with A+ content.
A Redditor says strong listing designers cost “$1000+ a listing”; Fiverr is cheaper but sellers call it “super plain”. The AI tool AlgoFuse sells listing sets at $140/month.

“User pastes their Instagram/TikTok product URL, and my tool finds currently working short-form formats and turns them into shootable concepts for their product.”
Productized service, $149, delivered in 48h as Canva concept cards. Sold by cold-DMing 10 indie brands a day with one free concept for their product.
Start here. No build, and it tests whether brands pay for ideas without footage.
Bundle the concept with the video: this becomes the UGC creator offer at $200–250/video.
Highest price. This is the UGC card above.
The Fastlane-style tool. Needs format data, AI prompts and a no-code build.
Later. Verified tools here are small: Reelyze $647/30d, XcutAI $146/30d; VidFarm $2,356/30d.
Tinder/Pinterest-style browsing of creative ideas with a “show me how” link.
Later. A feed needs traffic, which needs an audience.
Consumer app for anyone, anywhere.
Kill. No buyer evidence, consumers won't pay for ideas, and ChatGPT already does it.
Her note
“UGC creators apply/get approved — brands search for creator with portfolio — brand chooses creative direction — goes to me — I create scripted shit — send to creator. Creator does it — it gets sent to brand. Money for everyone.”
Start as the UGC creator herself. She learns what briefs and scripts brands actually buy, and builds the brand relationships the marketplace needs.
Start here. It's the UGC card, and month 1 of the marketplace.
Brands buy a scripted 4-video pack; she writes the scripts, routes them to vetted creators from r/UGC_forhire, checks quality, delivers.
Month 2–3. Supply is easy (one paid post drew 266 comments); brands are the bottleneck.
For brands that already have creators: she sells the creative direction pack (hooks, shot list, script) for $150–300.
Good test of the scripting value. Brands say the brief matters more than the platform.
Creator applications, portfolios, brand search, in-platform messaging and payments.
Later. Two-sided cold start; incumbents exist (Jem Social $1,286/30d, BloxG $2,847/30d). Build it only after the concierge studio has repeat brands.
Real people doing try-ons and styling for small fashion/accessory brands, positioned against AI models.
Strong niche angle. Shoppers distrust AI model photos (see the kill list).
Her note
“Upload product — pick personality — get memes. $9/month for 20 generations etc. Could turn to — make it a reel.”
Upload product, pick a personality, get 20 memes a month.
Kill for now. $2k needs ~222 subscribers, which needs traffic she doesn't have, and existing meme tools get panned (“templates don't seem latest… UI is very bad”).
20 memes/month about the customer's daily pain, sold by DMing founders on X with one free meme for their product.
The variant worth testing: X is full of software founders, and a free “drop your URL, I'll make you a meme” thread drew 72 comments.
Memes formatted as Meta ad creatives.
Test inside the meme pack; brands constantly ask what to use for static ads.
Turn the best meme into a short video.
Later, once a meme proves itself.

A woman's honest take on your Hinge
Men send screenshots of their Hinge, Tinder or Bumble profile. Lynn sends back a brutally honest, funny teardown: which photos to cut, the new photo order, rewritten prompts, and a shot list for the photos they're missing.
Men 22–40 getting few or no likes: the people posting “is it my photos?” on r/Tinder, r/hingeapp and r/MenAskWomen. Second audience: women re-entering dating (a 30F review request on r/Tinder drew 160 comments).

Write “I reviewed 10 men's Hinge profiles: the 5 mistakes” as a Reddit post. That format ranks #1 on Google for “hinge profile review”. Post a teardown on X and IG/TikTok with her hook system (“Your first photo is why she swiped left”).

Design the deliverable in Canva: a season page, a 30-swatch palette, a “wear / avoid” outfit board, makeup, hair and metals, and a shopping cheat-sheet. This is the differentiator, because buyers ask whether analysis was “actually useful” after the session.
Write the photo protocol: daylight by a window, no makeup, white vs black top, gold vs silver. Apps fail on lighting, so she should control the input.
Analyze 5 friends for free. Shoot “wrong color vs right color” side-by-sides, with permission.
Launch with a Tally form and a Stripe link: 10 founding spots at $49. Post the side-by-sides as reels/TikToks using her hook system. This audience lives on TikTok, IG and Pinterest more than X.
Reddit, carefully: r/coloranalysis bans ads, DMs and sharing socials (permanent ban plus a public “creep list”). Only post genuinely good answers on “what season am I?” threads to build a name. If she wants Reddit sales, test about $50 of Reddit Ads aimed at beauty and fashion audiences.
Deliver within 48h. Ask each client for an outfit photo in their palette.
Raise the price to $79 and add a $29 makeup-shade add-on.

The kill list
Shoppers push back hard on AI model photos (424 upvotes on “brand using generative AI for their pics :/”), and it's a commodity: tools like The Influencer AI ($199/mo, $5,050 in 30 days) and Produktstudio sell it directly. Real try-on UGC is the better answer to “brands without models”.
An oversupplied race to the bottom. One $30–50 reel-editing job on r/VideoEditors_forhire drew 110 comments, and Lynn isn't an editor.
People expect it free. Google's page 1 for “instagram audit” is all free tools, free audits are common on r/InstagramMarketing (which bans self-promotion), and no comparable shows verified revenue. It's also a landing-page roast for Instagram.
Too slow for 30 days. A seller reports “$500–800/month” after 10 months, and “Is it realistic to make $500/month?” is the common question. Templates also sell for $14 (Coaching Marketing Kit), so $2k = 140+ sales.
Oversupplied and call-heavy. One beauty business's job post drew 24 comments, nearly all applicants pitching themselves, and ongoing account management means client calls and approvals, the thing she hates. The content-day version is better.
No proof of money, and the core community is hostile. No Kibbe business turned up on TrustMRR, r/Kibbe banned “type me” posts, and its top comments say you can't type from photos. The 49,500 monthly searches for “kibbe body types” are better spent as free content that feeds color analysis.
No buyer signal. The “too many ideas” posts come from writers, not people with budgets, and there's no verified comparable on TrustMRR. Fold it into the reel concept intake form instead.
Curiosity, not buyers. “What makes a reel go viral?” threads get 40+ comments, but people expect free answers. Search is near zero (“how to make a reel go viral” 70/mo), and the best verified comparable (Reelyze) made $647 in 30 days. Keep it as a free lead magnet for the reel concept packs.
Fails both the 7-day test and the credibility test. It needs a built course or game, Lynn isn't technical, the search terms are hard (“ai course for beginners” KD 46, “learn ai for beginners” KD 50), and the closest verified comparable made $480 in 30 days.
Already rejected by Lynn before this research. Not re-tested.
Reality check
The subs with the loudest demand mostly ban selling. UGC is the exception: its hiring subs exist to connect brands and creators.

| r/Tinder | 1,552,948 | Profile-review posts are normal here and huge. No self-promotion rule turned up in its rules text, but Reddit-wide spam rules still apply. | Allowed |
| r/hingeapp | 229,839 | Rule 7: no self-promotion. Rule 14: reviews must be your own writing, and no promoting AI tools. | Banned |
| r/DatingProfileHelp | 2,129 | No promo posts, but “helpful tool mentions in comments are fine”. | Limited |
| r/coloranalysis | 120,800 | Rule 10: no advertising (permanent ban). Rule 11: no DMs and no sharing socials (ban plus public “creep list”). | Banned |
| r/DressForYourBody | 297,726 | Same rules: no ads, no DMs, no sharing socials. | Banned |
| r/lookyourbest | 499,019 | Posters with promotional content in their profile can't post. | Banned |
| r/InstagramMarketing | 137,713 | Rule 5: no self-promotion or “pm me for a service”. | Banned |
| r/smallbusiness | 322,721 | Promotion only in the weekly Promote-your-business thread. | Limited |
| r/SocialMediaMarketing | 58,140 | Service ads only in the designated thread. | Limited |
| r/CreatorServices | 4,586 | Built for creators hiring services. Offers allowed with correct flair. | Allowed |
And X? For UGC, X works like a live job board: brands post paid briefs with rates, and replying needs no followers. For color analysis, dating reviews and “content ideas”, X showed little buyer demand.

TRUSTMRR_API_KEY is not set and no TrustMRR MCP is connected, so the authenticated API (filters, search, pagination) was unavailable. I used the public llms.txt, category and channel pages, and per-startup .md pages. Category pages only show the top ~30 by total revenue, so small comparables were found with about 20 site:trustmrr.com web searches, and each was verified on its .md page (59 pages fetched).lizaonair as a social media service was wrong (it's a giveaway comment picker). It was never cited in this report.Full report with every link: ideas-report.md · Reddit via Scrape Creators · Search via AEO Trace (DataForSEO) · Revenue via TrustMRR · X via API Direct.
